2012 MET Gala Fashion Summary
The 2012 Costume Institute Gala, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, took place this past Monday and we tuned in to check out the beautiful attire donned by celebrities, starlets, and the like. The MET Gala red carpet is considered a fashion show in itself, so many stars take this event as an opportunity to go above and beyond the usual red carpet look. Check out some of the stand out ensembles and see if you can pick out a few of the trending colors from the evening!
First up is Rosie Huntington Whitley standing perfectly poised (as she should, being a highly fought after model!) in a long, shimmering, striped black gown.
Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen make an almost all black appearance, but with their gorgeous looks we think they could show up in garbage bags and look just as stunning!
Camilla Belle wows spectators with a low neckline and maroon lip color. Va va voom!
Heidi Klum sported a lovely lace (which is very ‘in’ this season if you remember from our recent post on lace!) dress.
Renee Zellweger’s Pucci dress made quite a dramatic and glamorous statement. This was one of our favorite looks of the night!
The popular pop star, Rihanna, pulled off a sexy alligator dress by Tom Ford.
Cate Blanchett always looks beautiful and she kept up that reputation by wearing this amazing number by Alexander McQueen.
And last, but not least, Gwyneth Paltrow in a halter dress by Prada. We are loving the metallic silver shoes and purse as extra touches to the ensemble!
